This cool cowboy mystery film directed by Clark Richey. The events leading up to the death of famed explorer Meriwether Lewis in 1809 at a remote inn in the wilderness were imagined by Alexander Wilson. his friend during a tense confrontation with the sole witness of the famous explorer's last living night. Luis rented a room with innkeeper Priscilla Grinder, where Robert's husband Priscilla was out of business that night.After hearing shots and gunshots, Lewis was found in the yard bleeding from a pair of gunshot wounds. Later, in 1811, Lewis' friend Alexander Wilson arrives at Grinder's tavern under orders from President Jefferson to investigate the events of that night. His questions framed the different ways of telling Lewis' death. And historical records strongly support the official verdict.
